Christa lives, paints and teaches art here in Southampton, Ontario. Her studio is in her home which she shares with her husband and two dear dogs.
Painting Commissioned portraits of children, people, families and pets in pastels and oils is her speciality. She also loves to use watercolours, pastels and oils to paint images of flowers, trees and wet-lands of the Bruce Peninsula. Many of her painting references come from hiking on the Bruce Trail or paddling her kayak, camping trips and her garden.
Her experience as a teacher is helpful when teaching art at the Southampton Art School, small groups or individuals in her home and in various workshops around Ontario.
Christa studied art at the University of Guelph, Georgian College, Ringling College in Sarasota Florida and at workshops with well-known artists in various states in the USA.
In addition to her commissioned portraits, located in British Columbia, Ontario, Maryland, Washington State, and Colorado, Christa's paintings can be found across Canada and the United States. |
