Elinor Holmes was born and raised in Owen Sound, Ontario. After living and working in the Cambridge area for fifteen years, she moved to Southampton in 1972.

Elinor has always had a strong interest in art and a desire to create art. But, like many, because of work and family obligations was unable to pursue her interests until later in life.

When the opportunity presented itself for her to devote more time to her passion for art, she quickly did so.

Elinor took many classes and also studied privately with some or our leading art teachers. She works with water colours, acrylics and pastels to realize her artistic vision. Elinor finds inspiration for her art in the world and people around us especially fantasy faces, roosters and flowers.
